Texture is an important aspect with Moroccan decor, and the liberal use of fabrics and rugs is a common touch. Include room dividers and screens that have Moroccan artwork and decorative details, and rugs can be used on the walls as well as the floors for a unique look. Foyers in the typical Moroccan home are large and welcoming. Artwork that is small and intricately engraved is often used on entrance doorways, and the Moroccan furniture includes wrought iron and wood.
Throw in some nice, colorful, really inexpensive rag rugs for in front of your stove and sink and you have it made. You can add some modern appliance pulls in steel or solid brass to enhance the look of your refrigerators. As you can see, the only limitation is your mind. If you feel low on affordable home decor ideas, peruse your local thrift stores and garage sales. You never know what you might find and be able to turn into something beautiful for your home.
